History of CYBER Crimes
by A. Montalbano on 12/22/14During the Christmas holiday season, crime is at a steady climb. The hustle and bustle of shopping and family gatherings is enough to distract us from our own surroundings. Even beyond the holiday season when crime stares us right in the face, we "never saw it coming".
Along with protecting belongings, the insurance industry offers coverage to many facets of the human experience. One of the most recent is the internet.
Where there is a new frontier, trouble will follow. Stolen data is not just affecting shoppers or social media members. Lives and business operations have been caught off-guard with CYber crimes. Hacking is not new. Aggressive hacking operations are meant to destroy or hold hostage.
Cyber crimes happen frequently and it is no longer a question of if, but when.
